Ekaterina experienced a miscarriage three months into pregnancy, eleven months after giving birth to her daughter. After three days of bloody discharge, her water broke and she began bleeding profusely. While waiting for her mother to arrive, she felt herself slowly drifting away without any pain. Upon closing her eyes, she felt teleported to another place where she saw shadows of people hovering above her, feeling as if she had just been born. These beings felt familiar, as if they had anticipated her arrival. She faced a choice between staying in this new realm or returning to her children. Choosing that she wasn't done with her present life, she willed herself back. Upon opening her eyes, she initially couldn't recognize her mother and sister-in-law, but gradually her senses returned. She desperately begged for water, comparing this to Jesus asking for water when dying, interpreting it as trying to hold onto life when one's purpose isn't complete. The experience led her to believe that death can be a choice.
