During cesarean section, Bonnie felt intense rib pain and spinning sensations. Unable to speak despite mental calls for help and God, she suddenly left her body, observing herself in the hospital bed while pondering her dual existence. She watched the doctor rush in and argue with a nurse about losing a patient, hearing him scream "how can I do this surgery when I've just lost a patient?!" Fascinated by her fluid, silver mercury-like form poured into a corner, she matter-of-factly acknowledged her death while noting she wasn't really dead. She was sucked through a dark tunnel toward a pinprick of light, absorbing universal knowledge about physics, math, life, death, and purpose. A presence asked if she was ready to come, but she requested to return to tell her mother she was okay. She was given cryptic messages: "It's not complicated, don't make it so," "we have it all backwards - we die then live," and "stop searching for mystery when there isn't one." After agreeing to return at a definite boundary, she fell back into her body with a loud swoosh and woke to doctors screaming "He's alive, he's got a heart rate!" (though she is female).
