Living in a foster group home after 74 placements in 15 months, Anthony overdosed on time-release antidepressants. After vomiting, he repeatedly found himself in a tunnel whenever he closed his eyes. A housemate alerted staff and he was taken to the hospital for charcoal treatment. He then experienced going through the tunnel and sitting on God's lap in an overstuffed chair. God appeared huge with white hair and robe, with blinding bright white light behind Him. God had His arm around tiny Anthony and communicated telepathically without moving His lips, telling him he had to come back, it wasn't his time, he had stuff to do and things to experience. Anthony felt the most intense love he's never felt before or since - completely and absolutely loved. Though he didn't want to leave, he didn't protest. He came back through the tunnel and awoke in ICU with a doctor saying they'd lost him and he'd taken enough to kill a horse. Since then, his smell and hearing are extremely sensitive, he can predict rain/snow within 5 days, has precognitive dreams, knows when someone will die, can tell when people are lying or emotionally hurting. He converted from evangelical Christian background to Judaism. The experience taught him humans are all connected and life is about experiencing love. He knows if he attempts suicide again, he'll be completely paralyzed and stuck in his body.
