Anthony experienced two NDEs. First in 2005: rear-ended by loaded tractor-trailer at 65mph while stopped, he heard the crash then felt beautiful peace, contentment, happiness, warmth, and no pain. He felt held from behind by a woman while still strapped in his seatbelt, his head resting on her breast - the most wonderful feeling he'd ever had. He was unconscious several minutes and angry when awakening that the feeling was gone. Second experience three years later during cervical spine injection: after the procedure he couldn't breathe and fought to get up while staff tried holding him down. He heard a nurse say "We're losing him, get the crash cart" and "What do you mean you can't find the crash cart!?" His eyes closed and he felt incredible happiness, peace, and calm - more intense than the first experience. He saw beautiful unexplainable white light exploding from a center in many beams, with a small silhouette in the center possibly motioning to him. After hearing no voices, the light retracted like a funnel, his body gasped, and he sat up. A nurse had tears, confirming it wasn't a panic attack. The injection had seeped into his central nervous system, deadening nerves controlling his diaphragm. Since these experiences, he feels compelled to do something nice for someone daily, has no fear of death, and knows death is just another step to something beautiful.
