Yolanda was 23 years old when she went to a Tennessee emergency room with pneumonia that was killing her. Her lungs were so full that staff said she shouldn't have been able to walk through the doors and should have been dead. She went in and out of consciousness, managing to give her husband her church's phone number to call her mother - oddly knowing a number she had never called before. When her mother arrived and said they were hooking her up to a breathing machine, Yolanda could only shake her head no before losing consciousness. She then found herself in complete darkness but heard a kind, comforting, loving male voice that seemed to wrap its arms around her, telling her she was okay and everything would be all right. The voice never specified if she would live or die. She felt at peace, comfortable, safer than ever before in her life, and happier than she had ever been. She told the voice she wasn't scared anymore and was ready, accepting she'd never see her babies again, knowing they would be watched over. Four days later she woke up crying, unsure if from happiness or from losing that feeling of safety and pure peace. She describes it as the most wonderful experience of her life.
