Sreenivasa experienced an NDE during a criminal attack that left him unconscious. After losing consciousness, he found himself traveling upward through a cool, translucent cylindrical pathway that curved as it ascended. Along the walls of this tube, he witnessed thousands or hundreds of thousands of glowing candlelight-shaped spots moving freely outside the translucent barrier. Each time he rounded a curve, he saw a human-shaped white light about a hundred yards ahead, traveling at the same speed, appearing and disappearing in a slow blinking pattern. His senses were extraordinarily keen and his comprehension instantaneous. The journey filled him with wonderful feelings until fear suddenly overwhelmed him as he remembered his family and dependents. He cried out to God for help, expressing concern about his children becoming orphans and his unfinished life goals. His travel immediately stopped, and the human-like figure ahead returned and smiled at him. He then fell into a semi-trance before observing himself drifting slowly back down toward his body in a drain-like area beside the highway. Upon returning, he felt intense pain and was eventually rescued by a passerby who took him to the hospital where he received stitches and underwent major surgery.
