Soony experienced a profound NDE during a trip to Casablanca, Africa when her heart stopped in a hotel lobby. She fell unconscious and experienced being lifted by a gentle beam of light from a star in the northeast direction. The light covered her body as she was drawn upward toward the star. She found herself in a sitting position looking down at her husband and others gathered around her physical body below. She could see a doctor in white examining her body but could not hear their conversations, though she tried to communicate that her meridian was blocked. The entire journey was brief but filled with perfect peace and harmony - a feeling she describes as indescribable with words. She has no memory of returning to her body or the subsequent events for many years. The experience gifted her with the ability to channel healing energy, which she used to help others with various conditions including nerve damage, multiple sclerosis, addictions, and severe pain. She had previously experienced an NDE as a teenager when drowning, where a tunnel of light pulled her up. Both experiences left her with absolute certainty about the afterlife and a deep sense of peace about death.
