On November 13, 1994, John M was struck in the head by a sailboat boom in Key West Harbor, suffering multiple skull fractures. While alone in the ER for about 6 hours during a chaotic emergency, he left his body and flew around the room, examining ceiling light fixtures up close. He saw his body below with a mysterious healer working on it - a man in golden/yellow robes with a pillbox hat bearing unknown script (possibly Hebrew), using bronze/gold crochet hook-like instruments on his head injury. The being communicated telepathically: "Well, you won't get too many chances to recover from something like this again. You must be much more careful in the future or you won't be able to do what you have to do and that won't be good." The being instructed him to return to his body and ask for water and a blanket. Later X-rays showed no bone displacement despite severe trauma - he believes the being reset his bones. Afterward, he could see auras and predict small events for about 6 months.
