Rose M underwent surgery to remove an ovarian cyst when complications arose. Extra anesthesia was administered, causing her vital signs to fade and leading to clinical death. During this critical medical event, she experienced floating in a ghostly state wearing a white robe. She found herself moving through a grey metallic tunnel toward an intense, infinite light that shone on her forehead. Grey molecular-like balls floated around her, rebounding and forming new ones when they touched her.
Her experience was characterized by rapid movement through the tunnel, though she perceived herself flying on pointed tiptoes with hands fixed at her sides. The tunnel experience was accompanied by feelings of incredible peace and a marvelous sensation. Throughout the journey, she maintained heightened consciousness with incredibly vivid senses and accelerated thoughts. Time seemed to stop or lose meaning entirely as she traveled toward the light. The veridical aspect occurred when she suddenly found herself observing the emergency room from above. She could see medical staff working frantically with an artificial respirator and heard their voices as if from a distance. She witnessed her mother crying when she moved her hands, indicating her return to consciousness. Upon awakening, Rose retained clear memories of the entire experience. She described it as unforgettable and wonderful, with every detail remaining vivid. The experience left her with enhanced spiritual beliefs and occasional visions and dreams that later came true. She values life more deeply since this transformative event.
