Ronald's heart stopped while preparing to go Christmas shopping with his wife. After plugging in a webcam for security, he found himself walking down a dirt path toward a bright light with tall green trees lining the path. He felt incredible warmth and goodness surrounding him, hearing birds singing in the trees. From behind, he could hear his wife yelling his name repeatedly from what seemed far away. Something told him to go back, and he turned in fast motion, shooting back to see his wife's face as she pounded on his chest calling for him to return. He awakened 6 hours later in the emergency room. His wife had performed CPR to restart his heart. The experience left Ronald without fear of death, strengthened his belief in God and the afterlife, and enhanced his existing ability to sense future events involving family, which became stronger after the NDE. Though previously uncertain about God, he now firmly believes in God's existence and finds life more meaningful and significant.
