Jim, age 14, suffered a severe head injury after falling off a moving car trunk and having his head dropped on pavement twice, causing skull fracture and hemorrhaging. He was unconscious for 8 days in the hospital with doctors drilling holes to relieve brain pressure. During this time, he found himself in a huge void with spots of light like stars, feeling positioned between Earth and Moon. An overwhelming presence radiating fatherly love appeared on his right side, showing him his body through a "tube of light" and asking if he wanted to return. He was told to provide three reasons to return: showing love for his mother, not having truly loved anyone yet, and showing love to fellow humans.
