Julia was in childbirth with her second child when she experienced severe complications. During labor, her cervix tore in half causing internal bleeding, though this was not immediately recognized. She experienced extreme pain and dizziness, telling the doctor she was fading out. The doctor had to use vacuum extraction as Julia was losing consciousness and could not push. After the baby was born and everyone left to care for the infant, Julia left her body. She felt surrounded by total unconditional love, warmth, and compassion. She could see the medical staff from a distance, floating in the room. Her body was ice-cold and white when her husband returned. She heard and saw everything as the doctor rushed in yelling for fluids, blood, pressure and pulse checks. She sensed God's presence telling her it wasn't her time, that she had two young children to take care of. Though she wanted to stay in that beautiful loving place, she felt pushed back into her body. She woke up a day later, having lost significant blood. The experience took place during emergency treatment for postpartum hemorrhage from the cervical tear. Julia reported feeling more aware of universal connection and the sacredness of all life after her experience.
