On May 19, 1988, Jenneane was giving birth to her eldest daughter when she experienced life-threatening complications. After an episiotomy and significant blood loss, her blood pressure dropped dramatically and she lost consciousness. She had been transferred to the emergency room due to concerns about her baby potentially having meconium aspiration syndrome. As the colors in the room faded to black and white, she had a flashback of being a soldier dying in war, suggesting a past life memory, before realizing she was the one dying now.
During her near-death experience, Jenneane encountered a powerful bright light that passed through her body, filling her with the most powerful unconditional love she had ever felt. Initially fearful and sad about not seeing her baby, all her fears vanished and her earthly memories dissolved as she was saturated with peace and love. She felt completely at home and had no desire to return to earthly life. The experience was characterized by overwhelming sensations that flooded all her senses simultaneously - she could hear, taste, see, feel, and smell the universe in that moment. The most profound aspect of Jenneane's experience was her direct encounter with what she knew to be God or the Creator, experiencing divine presence through a brilliant light unlike anything on Earth. She was given a choice to go to heaven or return, and despite the overwhelming desire to stay in that peaceful, loving state, she chose to return because she hadn't yet seen her baby's face and felt her child needed her. After the experience, she seemed to be given medication and watched the light fade as the images reversed back to normal. This experience fundamentally transformed Jenneane's life and beliefs. Raised as an atheist and told that God didn't exist, she became an absolute believer after her NDE. She went from rarely thinking about spirituality to waking up every day thinking of God and praying throughout the day. She studied various religions for two years, explored different spiritual paths, and developed a deep understanding that God's love for humanity is far greater than we can comprehend. She also developed some precognitive abilities, including knowing about her uncle's cancer before diagnosis and experiencing meaningful synchronicities like manifesting a rainbow she had wished to see.
