Georgia was seven months pregnant with her first child and had been on bed rest since her fourth month due to complications. While resting in bed, she sensed something was very wrong and when she stood up, a large amount of blood gushed out. Her husband rushed her to the hospital where she was only half-conscious and not coherent. She was taken to the operating room where she died. Upon death, her mind became completely clear and she found herself entering a very dark tunnel where she appeared as one of many bright stars shining in the darkness. She had no body and was floating in darkness. A male voice told her she needed to make changes in her life and for that reason "it wasn't time" for her yet - she had to return to earth life. Her mind accelerated like a fast elevator reviewing many different aspects of her life as she tried to figure out what changes needed to be made. The voice emphasized that next time when she sees a bright tunnel, she will know she has fulfilled her life by making these changes. Before being pulled back into her body, the voice reminded her again about the needed changes. As she returned, she could hear people around her saying "She is going to be okay! She is back!" She lost her child but knows she will see him again. The experience transformed her into a happier, non-judgmental person who believes everyone and everything has meaning. She became more open to giving rather than wanting and developed greater compassion for others.
