On August 25, 1986, young Yolanda was preparing for school when her mother initially allowed her to stay home, then changed her mind and insisted she attend. While crossing the street to reach the car where her mother waited, Yolanda hesitated as a car approached. Despite her mother screaming "Cross now! Cross now!" she was struck by the vehicle. The impact was severe enough to cause her death.
Immediately after being hit, Yolanda experienced getting up from the floor while her physical body remained lying on the ground. She found herself surrounded by white clouds at ground level and in the sky above. Though she did not see God directly, she had absolute faith in His presence and knew with certainty that she had died. From the clouds above, she observed a shadow of a thin, tall man walking on the clouds, looking down at her. In her desperate desire to live, Yolanda began begging God repeatedly, saying "God please let me live; if I die my mom and my brothers are going to cry a lot for me. God please let me live. I don't want to die right now; I'm too young. I want to grow up get married and have children. After that, you can take me but not now." Looking up again, she witnessed a striking sight - a red, humanoid figure with large wings hovering at the edge of the clouds, entirely red in color. The turning point came when Yolanda saw her great-grandmother who had died over twenty years earlier. Her great-grandmother screamed "My God!" and at that moment, Yolanda took a breath and returned to her body. Upon opening her eyes, she saw two translucent nurses descending from the clouds, one on each side. Their silhouettes were composed of black dots with white dots forming their outlines. When she attempted to touch one nurse's face, her hand passed through, but a paramedic gently placed her hand down. The experience left her with ongoing psychic abilities.
