Victoria was hiking with friends when she slipped and fell approximately fifty meters, landing in a tree that broke her fall. She sustained vertebra fractures, sternum fractures, and ankle fracture. While conscious after landing, her NDE occurred hours later during painful movement on a spinal board. She split in two, with her awareness becoming a ball of energy hovering near her physical body's face, watching it scream in pain while feeling no connection. The energy ball traveled upward to a dark place with millions of brightly colored lights (yellow, orange, green) traveling through it like a sparkling highway. She felt overwhelming happiness, excitement, and a sense of arriving home, impatient to enter this light highway. Unable to enter due to an invisible barrier, a voice told her to return to her physical body despite her concerns about it being broken. Upon return, she saw large ovals of colored light around her rescuers' heads that connected and changed color when close to each other. She also saw three tennis-ball sized aqua blue light ovals hovering between the men, which she instantly recognized as comforting spirits she had known before. After communicating with these spirits, she felt calmer and her pain decreased. The auras faded after a while. The experience showed her there's nothing to fear about death and left her investigating her spiritual side.
