Sophie K experienced an NDE during emergency C-section on May 18, 2005, after 18 hours of induced labor. She had premonitions that morning, telling her husband she loved him and drawing Death, Wheel of Fortune, and World tarot cards. During surgery under epidural, after baby delivery, she suddenly couldn't breathe. She left her body and walked through amazing trees with indescribable colors, noting human eyes miss much of the world's true color spectrum. She was surrounded by beings, communicating with all simultaneously while feeling amazing love, peace, and contentment. She saw a vision of her husband with a 3-4 year old girl with straight hair (her oldest had wavy hair). Given a choice to stay or return, she chose to come back. She returned as doctors applied resuscitation mask and adrenaline, seeing the surgeon waiting with hands down and her husband holding their son, watching to see if paddles were needed. Years later, her third child, a daughter with straight hair, matched the vision exactly. The experience left her with intense longing to return, comparing it to "Langothe" from fantasy literature - a terrible yearning for the fairy world. Biblical assessment: This profoundly transformative experience contains multiple biblical elements including visions of future events (prophetic knowledge), encounters with spiritual beings, and life-altering spiritual transformation. However, significant non-biblical elements include tarot card divination before the event and post-experience beliefs rejecting hell and viewing the devil as misrepresentation. Her conclusion that "we create our own pain and misery" contradicts biblical teaching about sin and redemption through Christ.
