Eleven-year-old Odell drowned in the Brazos River after stepping into a deep hole while wading. Unable to swim, he repeatedly went under, swallowing water and unable to get air despite reaching the surface multiple times. After exhausting himself struggling, he gave up and experienced extreme slow-motion perception before leaving his body. From 10-12 feet above, he watched his body drowning with complete detachment.
A brilliant penetrating light appeared, brightest he'd ever seen yet not painful to view, crystalline and churning like smoke within a sphere. He wore white garments and was purified by the penetrating light. From the light's center emerged Jesus "in all His glory, bigger than life," radiating golden light at measurable speed (360,000 feet per second) in indescribably beautiful color. Odell initially recoiled, feeling unworthy due to childhood sins, but Jesus extended His hand saying "Fear not. Peace" through telepathic communication. A giant screen appeared showing random life scenes. Jesus selected specific incidents for review, questioning Odell's actions in teaching moments.
