At age 6, the experiencer was in a severe car accident in England when his father swerved to avoid a stopped vehicle. Their car rolled 175 feet down an embankment into a river. Blood from a head wound temporarily blinded him as cold water rushed into the car. He then experienced warmth and found himself viewing the accident scene from atop the cliff. He observed himself inhabiting the body of a larger male who ran down to help.
Looking into the wrecked car, he saw and pulled out the hand of an unconscious boy - himself. He watched as another man took his lifeless body before waking up in the hospital days later. Remarkably, in 1975 when visiting the same location with his mother, an identical accident occurred. He again helped pull a boy from a Rambler in the river who looked exactly like him, experiencing profound déjà vu and wondering if he had somehow saved his own life across time. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: Out-of-body experience with viewing scene from above.
