Mary came to the emergency room with severe chest pains in 1998. While an EMT was trying to insert an IV, she told him the pain was almost gone. She found herself at a picnic-like table near olive trees with people she felt she should know but couldn't identify. He explained he appeared in modern dress rather than robes because he knew she wouldn't believe it otherwise. They had a laughing argument about her wanting to stay, and he pointed at her, winning the debate. She awoke to medical staff asking if she knew her name and location. The doctor said she was only gone about 30 seconds though it seemed longer. The colors were beyond description - as if color had tone, touch and meaning. She believes this prepared her for her daughter's suicide attempt a year later from Tylenol overdose. Her renewed faith in Christ helped her pray all night, and her daughter made what doctors called a miraculous recovery. BIBLICAL: The experience aligns with biblical accounts - Jesus appeared in a form she could accept, the olive grove recalls Gethsemane, and it strengthened her Christian faith.
