During a suicide attempt in December 2011, Kinyanjui experienced death attacking him as a tidal wave while resting at the beach. Multiple waves hit the beach, each time about to cover his head before subsiding. Then the biggest wave he had ever seen came with mysterious creatures floating on top laughing. As it was about to sweep him away, an amazing bright light appeared and he heard a voice saying "Your life has changed together with your destiny." He then saw his deceased uncle and an angel who were extraordinarily happy. One said "You stay in that world" before they hugged each other and disappeared. Kinyanjui experienced himself dancing with angels in the skies while observing his dead body being taken to the morgue, postmortem being performed, funeral arrangements, and his burial. He regained consciousness that evening after what he states was over two weeks. During the experience, he felt wonderful happiness with no stress or hunger and supernatural greatness. He experienced heightened senses, time distortion, and gained understanding about the universe. His life review showed his past full of shattered remains and illusions, but also revealed a bright future full of glory. The experience transformed him from a God-hater to someone who feels God's presence constantly.
