In summer 2010, Kay was feeling unwell from medication changes for depression and consumed 2-3 energy drinks. Friends visited and she smoked marijuana with them (something she had done before). While sitting at the table, she fainted and found herself in a white room, sitting on a box covered in white shag carpet. A door to the left was shut, and she could hear children playing outside. She felt no pain, happy and relaxed. She was talking to someone who seemed surprised by her presence, coming through a door that opened to bright light. She studied the white shag carpet, wondering how to keep it clean, watching her hand feel it while dressed in white and blending in. When her brother applied a cold cloth to her head, she returned. Everyone said she looked dead with all color drained, though her brother insisted she just fainted. She can no longer smoke marijuana as it knocks her out, and she's given up energy drinks after her heart was monitored racing dangerously fast. She's in daily pain in life but experienced none there. She misses that place and wonders what would have happened if she had gone through the door.
