Isabelle had two near-death experiences - one at age 15 during surgery after a traffic accident in 1973, and another at 22 during childbirth in 1982. In both cases, she clearly heard surgeons talking to each other saying "We are losing her. It's over. We'll never be able to get her back." She saw them clearly and tried to speak to them. Then she was suddenly sucked into a brightly lit corridor, swimming through white liquid toward an intensely attractive light. She felt increasingly drawn toward it, but then abruptly sped backward away from the light, feeling shaken in all directions with a sucking sensation. Both times she awoke quickly in the hospital recovery room. Despite being very nearsighted, Isabelle saw details clearly without glasses during the experiences. Her hearing was incredibly sensitive - she could hear surgical tools rubbing and surgeons breathing. The first experience initially scared her before bringing great peace; the second was entirely peaceful. After these experiences, Isabelle developed enhanced listening abilities and clairvoyant gifts - seeing images and colors about past and future, feeling others' emotions intensely. She believes she was not meant to die because she still had things to do, particularly helping others with their problems despite her own serious disabilities from the accident.

Isabelle's enhanced ability to see without glasses during clinical death supports consciousness existing apart from physical limitations. The peace and understanding align with divine presence. Her subsequent dedication to helping others reflects Christian service. However, concerning elements include the development of clairvoyant abilities - seeing the future and past - which resembles divination practices warned against in Scripture. The absence of God, Jesus, or angels is notable. While her helping others is commendable, the psychic abilities developed afterward are problematic from an evangelical perspective, potentially opening doors to deceptive spiritual influences.
