On March 7, 2011, Geri went for her final root canal with her daughter (a registered nurse) present for support due to allergies to anesthesia. Using special plain lidocaine, the dentist administered four doses as each wore off rapidly during the complex procedure. When the dentist determined the tooth needed extraction instead, Geri heard her daughter's voice echoing strangely, calling "Mom, come back, where are those paramedics?" as she slipped from her body. Looking right, she saw a closed door with bright white light visible through cracks, sensing many people pressed against it waiting for her. Her mother swung her hands back, telling her she had to return for her son. Geri found herself back in the dental chair crying with happiness, telling her daughter about seeing grandma and her step-dad. She even heard the dentist saying his nerves were shot, though she was unconscious at the time. Biblical Assessment: This dental anesthesia NDE contains both biblically supportive and potentially concerning elements. The experience of consciousness surviving clinical death (flatlining for one minute) strongly supports biblical dualism. The golden-bronze light and bright white light behind the door could represent divine glory and heaven's radiance. The profound peace aligns with biblical promises about believers' deaths. The command to return for her son reflects God's sovereignty over life's duration and earthly responsibilities.
