Chris M experienced cardiac arrest on April 26, 2008, while digging a ditch with his son. He went inside for water and collapsed with massive chest pain. His wife, a former nurse, found him with a blackened face and no heartbeat or breathing. She performed CPR and called 911. Paramedics, including his other son, arrived 15 minutes later and worked on him for 45 minutes before getting his heart started. He died again in the ambulance but was revived. During his death state, Chris appeared in a vast, illuminated expanse where he encountered both grandmothers who had passed. His paternal grandmother took his hand and led him down a wide golden road made from a single sheet of gold. They approached a man with long white hair and a gold-trimmed robe who was playing with children. His grandmother introduced this figure as "your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." Jesus touched Chris's forehead with two fingers of his left hand and said, "It's not your time. You cannot stay, you have things to do for Me." Despite Chris wanting to stay, Jesus insisted he had to return and would be called when his time came.
