Deborah took an herbal supplement recommended by a naturopath and immediately had a severe allergic reaction on August 3, 2001. Despite feeling very ill, she helped her mother with a broken wrist for three hours before going to hospital. Upon arrival, she was taken to acute care where she was hooked to monitors. She heard someone say "Get the mother, now" and her mother saying "Oh, my God." She experienced being pulled backward in a sitting position through thick grey fog with a bright white light shining down from above. She felt no fear, no pain, just peace and her "nirvana" - a feeling she had never experienced before and can still feel today. Then she was suddenly back in her body.
