Barbara W experienced multiple near-death experiences throughout her life. At age 12, while swimming alone in a pond over six feet deep, she got a cramp and began sinking. As darkness surrounded her and she sank deeper, she eventually breathed in water, finding it surprisingly relieving rather than painful. A bright white light emerged from her chest and rippled up through the water. She saw her physical body below - peaceful, mannequin-like, with blonde hair fanned out. The same calm female voice who had comforted her during childhood abuse told her she had more work to do and must return. Her feet involuntarily sprang from the muddy bottom, and she surfaced. A male voice then instructed her to "Never marry. Walk the Earth. Learn all types of religion, not from establishments, but from the people themselves."
At age 21, shortly after marriage, Barbara collapsed with flu-like symptoms. She blacked out and floated to the bedroom ceiling, watching her husband kneeling beside her body calling her name. She tried to communicate but he couldn't hear her. She noticed a circular swirling motion on the ceiling and entered it, emerging in a tiny pitch-black waiting room. An unseen force pulled her into the main tunnel where she saw a shimmering gray veil separating her from a boy and elderly man. She walked with two women relatives who eventually told her to continue alone. Barbara approached a bright white light and stopped at a distinct line when a male voice said "enter no further." She recognized the figure to her left as Jesus and sensed God's world above. During her life review, Jesus asked three questions: How have you helped others? What did you learn? How did you give of yourself? She experienced the emotional pain she had caused others. Jesus showed her multiple otherworldly realms including "Twinkle Lights," "Sparkle Lights," "White Souls," and a living world with fiber-optic-like colors. He explained the tunnel as having shades from dark to light, representing heaven to hell, with Earth 12 inches from the floor and her potential placement 24 inches from the ceiling. When she asked to see hell, she was placed on a pedestal with protective angels while demons tried to reach her and Satan ordered attacks. She prayed desperately until God removed her. Jesus showed her future events and told her she would remember them only after living them. She returned to her body to find her husband still calling her name.
