Daisy went for tubal ligation surgery when a surgical error sent an air bubble to her heart, causing cardiac arrest and clinical death for four minutes. She was in a coma for two days with medical staff using paddles and working frantically to revive her. Her husband was called urgently to the hospital where he found her thrashing with nurses restraining her arms after she had pulled out tubes.
During her death, Daisy floated above watching the paddles being used on her chest and observing staff reading the EKG machine. She then encountered a tunnel with bright, warm sunlight where her deceased brother and sister (who died in 1970) appeared. They were overjoyed to see each other, hugging and holding hands. Her siblings begged her to come with them. She started to go but stopped, telling them she couldn't leave because she had a one-year-old baby, nine-year-old son, and husband. They sadly accepted but said they wouldn't be able to visit her dreams anymore. Since the NDE, she has never dreamed of them again but occasionally sees her brother's image and feels his presence. She believes her deceased relatives are together and finds great comfort knowing this, especially after losing her parents in 1999 and 2001. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: The tunnel with bright light, reunion with deceased loved ones, the choice to return for family, and ongoing spiritual presence of deceased relatives align with biblical concepts of the afterlife. The joy of reunion and continued bonds between the living and dead reflect biblical promises. The warm, bright light suggests divine presence. Unbiblical elements: None identified. The experience contains classic NDE elements consistent with Christian testimonies of heaven and reunion with loved ones.
