Viva experienced clinical death during surgery on June 6, 1979, following complications from a Dalkon Shield IUD causing pelvic inflammatory disease. During surgical intervention, she felt intense pain and was swiftly extracted through the top of her head to the ceiling's upper left corner. She observed medical staff going into resuscitation mode and realized she still existed without fear. She traveled through dark space at incredible speed, steering toward some bright objects while avoiding others. She encountered a magnificent being of complex shapes and colors (possibly Jesus) who pointed toward a distant light. Upon entering the light with indescribable speed, she experienced eternal immersion in golden warmth, receiving divine wisdom about God's plan from the beginning of time. She could perceive Earth from heaven and received transmission about her purpose. She then stood before a beautiful English cottage with God inside, but was told if she entered she couldn't return - her four-year-old son needed her and people needed to know about the reality beyond death.
