Scott was out running when he experienced chest pains and numbness in his arms, recognizing immediately that he was having a heart attack. After calling 911, he felt a calming presence in the ambulance that removed his fear. At the hospital, he went into ventricular tachycardia and lost consciousness. During his clinical death, he experienced traveling through an infinite tunnel at incredible speed, describing it as flying through fireworks with a whooshy, windy sound like the ocean. Upon resuscitation, Scott awakened from what he described as a peaceful infinite void.
