Scott experienced a grand mal seizure after a day at the lake, during which he stopped breathing for approximately four minutes. His cousin performed CPR on the side of the highway while waiting for emergency services. During this time, Scott had a profound out-of-body experience where he floated approximately ten feet above his body, observing his cousin beating on his chest and a police officer standing by without helping. He could see everything clearly from this elevated perspective. Despite being clinically dead, Scott felt completely peaceful and calm, with no fear or panic about not breathing. He described feeling like he knew he wasn't breathing but didn't need to. When he realized the gravity of the situation, he consciously thought "I have to get back down there" and immediately returned to his body, taking a deep breath as paramedics arrived.
