Sandra, age 62, experienced a ruptured brain aneurysm and was rushed to the emergency room. Her friend Lee, a 30-year retired paramedic, witnessed and timed the events. The moment she was laid on the emergency table, her heart stopped for three minutes, restarted for two minutes, then stopped again for three more minutes before being revived with an injection. During the first cardiac arrest, Sandra couldn't speak or move but heard everything, including the doctor yelling for her to answer. She left her body and viewed herself from about six feet above. She thought "I must be dead as I am looking at my dead body down there." She began moving slowly upward into an infinity of light, peace, and happiness, knowing she was going to heaven. Not wanting to die, she called out to God to put her back in her body, and she returned. The experience eliminated her fear of death and gave her complete faith that the soul leaves the body immediately after death.

--- Biblical Summary ---
Biblical elements: The out-of-body experience with consciousness surviving cardiac arrest, ascending toward light and heaven, calling upon God for help, and God responding by returning her to life all align with biblical concepts. The immediate separation of soul from body at death reflects biblical teaching about the immortal soul.

Unbiblical elements: None identified. The experience maintains theological consistency with conservative Christian beliefs about death and the afterlife.
