On September 28, 1978, Roger experienced his first of five heart attacks while listening to music at home with his children asleep. As chest pain became unbearable, he suddenly knew he was about to die and moaned "Oh, no" thinking of his children. Then came sudden release from all pain and bodily sensation with immediate comfort, joy, and feeling of being welcomed Home. He experienced being both himself and everyone else simultaneously, understanding this reality as Home where he originated. He felt boundless love and understanding, was everywhere and everything in the universe, experiencing past, present and future combined into "the Eternal Now." Then came the Light - he was in it, part of it, and understood it completely. He returned to his body, brushed a tear from his cheek, and found himself smiling in his living room. The experience gave him complete faith without doubt, understanding man has interfaced with Home for thousands of years, sometimes misunderstanding the Truth, referencing the Tree of Knowledge and the serpent.
