Richard developed severe anxiety and lost touch with reality following personal conflicts. In a delusional state, he stabbed himself in the chest and jumped from a thirty-foot roof. He experienced immediate peace and found himself floating fifteen feet above his house, able to hear people inside searching for him. He could hear them say they didn't think he climbed out the window because it was shut. Everything then went black and he encountered two spiritual beings who communicated telepathically. They seemed to know him and offered support as he decided to return to Earth, knowing he had more to do. He woke in severe pain in the neighbor's garden. The knife had missed his heart by a quarter inch. Following the experience, Richard underwent profound positive transformation - his anxiety completely disappeared, replaced by inner peace and love. He became more kind, forgiving, and charitable, lost interest in material wealth, and learned to find beauty in simple things.
