Pamela experienced clinical death following a severe brain hemorrhage from trauma. She suffered a subcutaneous hemorrhage combined with a 17.72 cm³ left temporal lobe hemorrhage. Prior to leaving her body, she experienced extreme pain requiring narcotics 100 times stronger than morphine to keep her unconscious.
During her out-of-body experience, she found herself above her body after a moment of stillness and blackness. She observed her physical form in the hospital bed, noting she appeared much smaller than she had ever perceived herself to be. She specifically noticed the medical team had put grainy gunk in her hair for an EEG, making it look like "Frankenstein's bride's beehive." She found this amusing despite her condition. She was accompanied through a light tunnel by two beings she identified as Gabriel and Raphael, traveling through energy rather than physical movement. She described the destination as a place of pure love with glowing, ethereal beauty where everything was vividly alive with energy. The veridical observations included seeing herself from above with specific details about her appearance and the medical equipment. She observed her body as tiny compared to the bed size [MVP]. She saw the EEG preparation materials in her hair creating a distinctive appearance [HVP]. She was aware of the love emanating from everyone in the room despite being unconscious [LVP]. Upon return, she was given only a 5% chance to live and 2% chance to avoid vegetative state, yet recovered completely with restored psychic abilities. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: The experience includes several biblical elements such as encountering angels (Gabriel and Raphael are named archangels in scripture), passing through a realm of light, and experiencing divine love.
