At age 5 in 1976, MS blacked out while having her hair brushed. She felt herself floating and experienced a magnetic pull down the hallway. She traveled rapidly through a dark hallway/tunnel with voices of confused people who didn't understand what was happening. The experience was frightening. She then heard her mother sobbing and turned to see her own lifeless body on the floor with her mother crying over it. A voice spoke in her mind: "If you continue you can never return." Seeing her mother's grief, she ran toward her body but bounced off initially. An inner thought told her to try harder, and she successfully re-entered her body. She regained consciousness on a window sill with her mother fanning her. The nurse mentioned she had some "jerking" while unconscious.
