In September 2002, Mike Y was suffering from advanced Lyme disease with severe central nervous system distress and had not slept for many nights due to excruciating nerve pain. Upon passing out, he immediately found himself in a large tube with highly polished sides like graphite or pencil lead - extremely smooth but not glossy. His conscious feelings were ecstatic as he was completely out of pain and felt absolutely whole, better than anything he had ever experienced. As he traveled through the tunnel, his entire life flashed before him - every experience - and he saw how God had made them all work toward His good and perfect plans. Throughout the tunnel travel, he approached a great light that he perceived as God, Jesus, or perfect love. He felt totally loved, accepted, secure, and happy. The experience seemed to last a very long time or existed in a timeless state. Mike states with certainty this was not a dream but a life experience with vivid clarity that remains fresh eight years later.
