Michele was 34 weeks pregnant when her appendix ruptured, causing septic shock. Initially misdiagnosed as early labor, she was given medication to stop contractions which caused congestive heart failure. The ruptured appendix went undetected on CT scans. When the baby went into distress, labor was induced and she miraculously delivered, though seizures and shock continued.
Upon death, Michele awoke in a forest by a stream, immediately understanding she was dead and her body was not with her. Despite expecting fear, she felt only peace. She experienced perfect temperature like a baby in utero and complete heavenly peace beyond description. To her right on a higher plane, she saw a city with Middle Eastern-style cathedrals featuring light blue domes with gold circling the tops. She was aware of her grandmother, grandfather, and best friend's presence through their light's expression, feeling their joy and unlimited understanding from the city of domes. She experienced telepathic communication in a language of vibration and music. A Light appeared - beautiful honey-white that drew her to it. She recognized it as Jesus, not God, though she didn't understand why Jesus specifically stood out. The Light communicated that belief consistency and how one shows love matters more than religious choice, that "God is one in all," and that the soul's personality passes to afterlife. Love on earth determines how brightly one's light shines in heaven. When Michele asked to stay, the Light asked "What about your children?" She instantly replied "They will be fine" - a response that later filled her with guilt. She felt increasing heaviness returning to her body. She awoke in the hospital and later felt the Thailand earthquake while sitting at her dining table, developing heightened senses and intuition.
