At Camp Whittle around age 10-13, Mark was bullied by another boy who snapped him with a towel. Mark snapped back, causing silence in the tent, then ran toward the cafeteria chased by three boys. Running through tables and chairs, he fell and hit his head. He found himself floating at ceiling level about 15 feet away, seeing everything clearly. The feeling was awesome—perfect peace—and he knew he was looking at himself but didn't care about his body because he was "HERE." The bully kept snapping his unconscious face while one boy didn't snap at all and another hit once then stopped. Mark kept wanting to tell them "I'm Here! I'm fine!" When the camp leader arrived, ran through the cafeteria, grabbed Mark's bleeding face and slapped him calling "Mark! Mark!" Mark wanted to tell him he was fine but couldn't communicate. As the leader slapped him, Mark slowly moved toward his body, saying "No, no, no!" He descended to floor level, laid head-to-head with himself, and "slid" back inside. Upon waking, he immediately pointed at each boy, accurately describing their individual actions while unconscious—the bully hitting repeatedly, one hitting once, one not hitting at all. The boys' eyes went wide, the bully denied it, but none bothered him again. The experience gave him lasting peace, inability to get angry, psychic sensitivities, and complete absence of death fear.
