Maria, age 33, suffered from severe migraines and experienced a brain hemorrhage on December 19, 1994. After three days of severe headache, she was taken to the emergency room, received pain medication, fell asleep, and never woke up. A CT scan revealed hemorrhaging and she was placed in intensive care, remaining in a coma for two weeks on a respirator. During this time, she experienced walking/floating through a tunnel feeling peace, no worries, hearing angelical music, and seeing a bright clear light like a diamond. At the tunnel's end, a man looking like pictures of Jesus took her hand and said, "This is not your time," turning her around and sending her back. She then saw visions of many people dying, as if it were the end of mankind, images that remain with her. Her husband wanted to discontinue life support but her parents refused. After another treatment attempt, she awoke with complete memory loss except for the tunnel experience. Two months later, while at the doctor's office, memories suddenly returned like a movie. She still has three brain aneurysms and limited memory of her past. Since the experience, she has heightened sensitivity and reports ability to see and speak to deceased people.
