Margie had been bleeding heavily due to placenta previa, taking hours to reach the emergency room. She awoke looking down at herself from the ceiling, feeling unafraid and trying to tell everyone working on her that she was okay, but they couldn't hear her. The doctor was shouting at a maintenance man to hurry with wooden blocks to put under the foot-end of the bed, and shouting about blood. When he said "It's too late," she instantly left the room, which appeared unusually large for that hospital. She moved in a wonderful soft pinkish-golden presence that was Love and Peace, wrapped inside it. Outside this presence was a golden light. She was lifted up and up, aware she had to go back but not wanting to. In an instant, she was back in her body, opening her eyes to see blood hanging on the IV pole with everyone glad to see her. She has never feared death since and has longed for that place of Peace and Love. In her hospital work, she could recognize by patients' faces when they had crossed to that beautiful place. The experience revealed that unconditional love was already hers, not something to be earned.
