At age three, Leonard was hit by a car while following his uncle across the street. He experienced paralysis and heard an audible voice say "LET GO," followed by a tingling vibration before finding himself standing up outside his body. A figure summoned him across the street, assuring him mentally he would be safe. He experienced an extensive life review showing himself years older in rapid succession, eventually seeing his future son. He entered a dark cave where something with eyes watched him, but a soft breeze brought unbelievable peace, eliminating all fear. He observed the accident scene from outside his body, watching the frantic driver and thinking "They don't know anything about where I am." He possessed the intellect of a much older child during the experience. A "perfect" being with spectacular rainbow-colored eyes told him he had to return. When asked why he wanted to return, Leonard said to help raise his brothers and leave the world a better place. The experience was hidden from him for 38 years until his brother's death triggered the memories. He later experienced miraculous healing from an aneurysm after prayer.
