KB nearly drowned in a river during summer 1968 while playing unsupervised with her sister and friends. Unable to swim well, she stepped off a sandbar into deep water and began sinking. After struggling, she stopped and experienced profound calm. Her brief life flashed before her, passing with happiness about what she saw. She experienced incredible peace and moved toward a bright streaming light with feelings of unity with the world. Her sister saw her waist-length hair floating on the water surface and pulled her out by it. The experience gave her heightened senses and complete understanding of everything in the universe during the event. She was sent back against her will at a barrier she could not cross. The experience reinforced her conservative Christian faith and permanently removed her fear of dying.

--- Biblical Summary ---

Biblical elements: The life review, brilliant divine light, overwhelming peace, and sense of unity with creation align with biblical accounts. Being sent back at a boundary reflects divine sovereignty over life and death. The reinforcement of Christian faith and loss of death's fear demonstrates biblical transformation. The happiness during life review suggests a clear conscience before God.

Unbiblical elements: None identified. The experience contains classic NDE elements that support rather than contradict biblical teaching about consciousness, divine light, and the peace of God's presence.
