Jorge was admitted for surgery with high blood pressure problems. Under anesthesia, he experienced a comprehensive life review, seeing images from childhood through adulthood, including his parents, six brothers, children, and their mothers. The review included rapid succession of wrongdoings he had committed. He saw his wife of two weeks weeping and begging him not to leave, expressing eternal love. Despite his reciprocal feelings, a supernatural force pulled him into a dark tunnel. He understood he was dying and asked God for forgiveness.

Jorge saw a brilliant light approaching at great speed, felt immense happiness and peace upon entering it. While floating in this resplendent place, he observed people gathered around a coffin with his wife weeping inconsolably. This vision faded as he was pulled back toward the door of light, returning through the tunnel at great speed. He saw visions of future cities and himself preaching in Christian congregations with his wife by his side, both aged but happy together.

He heard the anesthetist asking why he was weeping and what he could see. Jorge told them he was seeing his life and continued weeping uncontrollably. The anesthetist confirmed they had been worried but he was improving.

Jorge recovered consciousness completely an hour later. The vision remained vivid in his mind days later, leaving him feeling happy about the experience.

--- Biblical Summary ---

Biblical elements: The experience contains numerous biblical elements including a life review showing moral accountability, recognition of wrongdoing leading to repentance, asking God for forgiveness, movement through darkness toward brilliant light consistent with biblical imagery of divine presence, peaceful and joyful sensations in the light, and visions of future ministry work. The separation from loved ones and return to life align with biblical accounts of resurrection.

Unbiblical elements: The experience appears largely compatible with biblical accounts. The only potentially concerning element is the deterministic vision of future events including seeing himself aged and preaching, which could suggest predestination beyond biblical free will. However, this could be interpreted as God showing potential future blessings rather than fixed fate.
