Jennifer B experienced an NDE in April 2004 due to undiagnosed congestive heart failure with severe hypotension, followed by fainting, a blow to the head, and cessation of breathing for approximately thirty seconds. The experience began with her floating slowly downward through a tunnel made of cream and rust colored mist while feeling tired and sick. She then suddenly became completely awake and alert, floating on her back in an endless black void. Despite the darkness, it wasn't actually dark - she sensed she would have been able to see anything if it had been there. The void was simply empty. She felt completely relaxed, pain-free, and filled with love and peace, sensing she was exactly where she was supposed to be. Her thoughts were extremely clear, unlike her usual self. She noticed a field of stars below her that formed a curtain dividing where she was from somewhere else. When she thought about going to the stars, a male voice spoke in her head, warning that if she went past the stars she wouldn't be able to come back. She considered not returning because it was so wonderful there. She then regained consciousness hearing her husband calling her name, with her first words being "I went somewhere."
