Elaine experienced two profound NDEs. In 1948 at age six, she had acute pneumonia and was delirious with fever. In the darkness of night, she saw a pinprick of light that grew, containing a figure in white robes with shoulder-length hair and beard who appeared as Jesus. The light felt like the greatest love she'd ever experienced - a soft, otherworldly white. Jesus spoke telepathically, telling her many things (now forgotten) and that she had to go back. She cried healing tears, her fever broke, and she felt lasting joy. In 1979, after her father's death, she suffered a ruptured appendix with peritonitis.
