Chuck experienced three separate NDEs. First (1969): During a school fight, he was strangled in a headlock until passing out. He entered a tunnel with bright light, saw a color movie of his life from infancy, then floated above watching staff break up the fight and seeing himself bleeding from eyes, nose, mouth and ears. Staff carried him inside; he returned when a door slammed. Second (1978): After injecting nearly a gram of cocaine, his heart stopped. He left his body, sitting against a wall watching his body on the floor for hours before returning. Third (2002): Motorcycle accident where a truck ran over him, breaking his chest. Unable to breathe, he entered a perfect-temperature jacuzzi-like state with incredible love. He saw his deceased mother and grandmother looking 30-35 years old in black dresses and pearls in a beautiful field with azure sky. His mother told him three times he had to go back, saying "we are not ready for you." He awoke six weeks later in the hospital after being in a coma. He appeared on Biography Channel's "I Survived Beyond and Back."
