Moving through the light tunnel toward a brighter end, she saw herself as a small child in a white frilly dress playing and laughing. She became aware she was a soul, not attached to a body. She saw visions of war and suffering African people. At the tunnel's bright end, which she knew was Heaven, she heard her mother crying. She asked to go tell her mother she was okay and was told the choice was hers, with instructions to "tell what you remember." Upon seeing her mother below, she immediately returned to her body. Medical staff confirmed she had no pulse and wasn't breathing for 4.5 minutes during CPR.
