Arnaud participated in the dangerous "choking game" near a school pond with friends in February 2008. After losing consciousness for about ten seconds, he experienced floating above the scene, observing everything happening around the pond and himself. Time seemed non-existent during the experience. He saw his friends speaking and laughing while two held him up. He felt intense warmth, wellbeing, and had a sense of total knowledge of everything. The experience felt much longer than ten seconds. Two days later, attempting it alone at home, he lost consciousness completely with no memory, waking on the floor injured and bleeding from his tongue.
