Aharon had a severe heart attack at work at Tel-Aviv University. A doctor at the clinic gave him aspirin and oxygen while waiting for a delayed ambulance. As he lost consciousness, he prayed twice: "Oh God! I am so close to you, then take me to you." He found himself in a transparent, luminescent balloon of bliss, floating like a baby in a mother's womb. He experienced wonderful bodilessness with no weight, time, distance or space constraints, while remaining fully conscious of his being and aware of what lay beyond the transparent balloon. He again pleaded to God to take him, but suddenly images of his wife and children appeared. Like a baby slipping from the womb to be born, he slipped from the luminescent balloon and found the doctor and medic waking him, saying they had saved him. The experience convinced him that all earthly creatures operate from self-love and the "will to receive," while there must exist a divine "will to bestow" - an all-benevolent force. He believes humans must scrutinize their will to receive to coincide with the divine will to bestow.
